What We Believe
A Christ-centred, contemplative faith for modern pilgrims.
Mystic Prophet is rooted in Jesus Christ and shaped by the Christian mystical tradition and the practices of the early Church.
These beliefs guide our ministry, our Daily Sanctuary and the way we accompany those who walk with us.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus reveals the love, compassion and presence of God. We seek to follow his way, live by his teachings and grow into a deeper relationship with him.
Scripture
Scripture is central to our life and practice. We read it prayerfully and contemplatively, listening for the wisdom, challenge and invitation it offers for our lives today.
The Presence of God
We believe God is present and active within creation, within our lives and within every sincere search for truth. Through prayer, silence and contemplation, we learn to recognise that presence more deeply.
The Christian Mystical Tradition
We draw wisdom from the long Christian contemplative tradition, including the early Church, the desert tradition and the Christian mystics who sought direct and transforming communion with God.
Prayer and Discernment
We believe spiritual discernment grows through prayer, Scripture, contemplation, lived experience and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Within Mystic Prophet, tarot is used as a Christ-centred contemplative tool for reflection and discernment. It is not used to replace Scripture, predict a fixed future or remove personal responsibility.
A Welcome for Every Pilgrim
We believe no one is beyond the love of God. Mystic Prophet welcomes lifelong Christians, those returning to faith, those who have been wounded or excluded by religious communities, and those who are still searching.
You do not need to have everything resolved before beginning the journey. You are welcome to come as you are, walk gently and remain open to Christ.
Our Way
Mystic Prophet is not a new religion or denomination. It is a contemplative Christian ministry offering a simple path of Scripture, prayer, reflection, discernment and everyday discipleship.
We seek to walk with Jesus, remain with Jesus and reflect his love in the world.
